Constitution

The Constitution is HSAA’s highest expression of the collective will of the membership of the Union. It stands as the ultimate authority upon which every decision is based. As such, it can only be amended by a 2/3 vote of the delegates at Convention of a special meeting.

Article 4 - Membership Benefits

  1. Subject to its policies and financial capabilities, the Union shall:
    1. Support labour education for its members;
    2. Support educational programs to enhance the health-care employment skills of its members;
    3. Provide bursaries to members, spouses and children/dependents of members enrolled in programs of studies in pursuit of a recognized diploma, degree or certificate at any post-secondary educational institution;
    4. Grant financial assistance to members of the Union and their immediate relatives who are, or were, dependent on the member.
