Article 28: Seniority

- Seniority is determined by continuous service in the bargaining unit.
- Seniority shall not apply during the probationary period; however; once the probationary period has been completed, seniority shall be credited from the seniority date established pursuant to clause (a) in this Article.
- Seniority shall be the determining factor in:
- preference of vacation time; and
- layoff and recall.
- Hours accumulated while an Employee is employed as a Casual or Temporary Employee will be recognized should the Employee become a regular full-time or part-time Employee.
