Convention 2026 - Rooted and Rising

This year’s convention theme is “Rooted and Rising”. After a challenging year of negotiations and change in Alberta’s health-care system, Convention 2026 will focus on reconnecting with each other, creating strong relationships, and building for the future.

Attending Convention

No experience necessary to attend, but space is limited! Delegates are primarily assigned through Local Units, each of which manages its own delegate-selection process. Any remaining spots will be selected through a draw held by district. 

Members received an email on March 9 with details on how to RSVP if they are a delegate with their Local Unit or how to enter the draw if not pre-selected.

• Delegates assigned through Local Units
  • Must complete their RSVP by noon on March 23. Spots not confirmed by the deadline will be forfeited and added to the district delegate draws.
  • Cancellations after the RSVP deadline above will result in an invoice for the amount charged by the employer, plus applicable administrative fees.
• Interested in attending and not pre-selected? Enter the delegate draw!
  • The deadline to enter the district delegate draw is noon on March 23.
  • Applicants of the draw will be notified of their status on March 25.

Convention Resolutions

Convention is a key opportunity to influence change and shape the direction of your Union. Resolutions are submitted to amend the constitution, refine policies, or set positions on key issues. These are submitted by, and then debated and voted on, by members. 

The resolutions deadline for Convention 2026 has passed, but you can still learn about the details on the resolution process in our policies.
