Article 15: Transportation Allowance
- An Employee who normally travels from the care home or program to their place of residence by means of public transportation following the completion of their shift but who is prevented from doing so by being required to remain on duty longer than their regular shift and past the time when normal public transportation is available shall be reimbursed for the cost of reasonable, necessary and substantiated transportation expense from the care home or program to the place of their residence.
- When an Employee is assigned duties necessitating the use of their private automobile, they shall be reimbursed at the highest Canada Revenue Agency non-taxable amount per kilometer.
