Local Conditions Applicable to EMS

ARTICLE 9: PROBATIONARY PERIOD

Amend Article 9.01 as follows:

  1. “A newly hired Regular or Temporary Full-time Employee shall serve a probationary period exclusive of training and up to sixty (60) hours of paid orientation, immediately following the date on which the current period of continuous employment commenced. Total hours to be served in the probationary period shall be calculated in the following manner:

    Upon transfer to a Regular or Temporary position, hours worked as a Casual Employee in the same classification shall be considered as contributing to the completion of a probationary period up to a maximum of three hundred and thirty-five (335) hours provided that not more than three (3) months have elapsed since they worked for the Employer.
