Article 17: Responsibility Pay and Preceptor Pay

17.01 (A) AND (B) FOR TECHNICAL ONLY

1.  

   1. When a Technologist I, Technician I, Therapist I or EHS Employee is designated supervisory duties, they shall receive one dollar ($1.00) per hour for such responsibility.

   2. For the purposes of the application of Article 17.01(a), the reference to Technologist I shall not be deemed to include Physiological Laboratory Technologist I.

2. Preceptor Pay 

   1. An Employee assigned by the Employer to act as a preceptor for students in:

      1. a post-secondary program recognized by the Employer, or  

      2. a specialized education, practice or training program recognized by the Employer, 

      shall receive an additional two dollars ($2.00) per hour for such responsibility and approved hours. 

   2. The Employer will give consideration to those Employees who express interest in accepting assignments as a preceptor. 

   3. “Preceptor” shall mean an Employee who is assigned to supervise, educate and evaluate students referred to in Article 17.02(a) above.
