Article 47: Employee/Management Advisory Committee
The Employee Management Advisory Committee (EMAC) is a group of bargaining unit Employees selected by the bargaining unit members to work with the Employer to promote harmonious relationships and discuss topics of mutual concern between the Employees and the Employer.
The parties to this Agreement recognize the benefits which can be derived from an Employee/Management Committee (“EMAC”).
The Committee will meet approximately once a quarter or more frequently as necessary. Every effort will be made by the Union Local Unit and the Employer to give advance notice of items for the agenda to facilitate the effectiveness of the Committee.
This meeting shall be convened during working hours of committee members, if operational requirements permit. Union Local Unit Committee members will be compensated by the Employer at their Basic Rate of Pay, and the overtime Articles and premiums shall not apply.
