Letters of Understanding
LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING #1
BETWEEN
THE WORKERS’ COMPENSATION BOARD
(hereinafter referred to as “WCB”)
And
THE HEALTH SCIENCES ASSOCIATION OF ALBERTA
(hereinafter referred to as “Union”)
RE: JOB PROTECTED LEAVES
Employee’s may be eligible for the following unpaid leaves:
(a) Reservist Leave
(b) Domestic Violence Leave
(c) Citizenship Ceremony Leave
(d) Critical Illness Leave
(e) Death or Disappearance of a Chile Leave
Eligibility for, and administration of these leaves shall be determined solely by the Employer, in accordance with Alberta’s Employment Standards Code.
