Letters of Understanding
Article 39: Union Business

- A leave of absence shall be granted by the Employer to an Employee elected or appointed to represent the Union at conventions, meetings, workshops, seminars, and schools provided the Employee gives the Employer five (5) working days’ written notice for such leave or whatever lesser period the Employer may agree to.
- Time off granted in accordance with Article 39.01 (a) shall be with pay, and the Union agrees to reimburse the Employer the applicable rate of pay for the absence plus a fifteen percent (15%) administrative fee.
