WCB – Alberta (Millard Health) Collective Agreement 2021-2024

Article 7: Occupational Health, Safety and Wellness Committee

1. The parties to this Collective Agreement will cooperate to the fullest extent in the matter of Occupational Health, Safety and Accident Prevention.
2. Required safety equipment and devices will be provided where necessary by the Employer.
3. The Millard Health Occupational Health, Safety and Wellness Committee shall include at least two (2) Employee representatives appointed by the Union.
4. The Millard Health Occupational Health, Safety and Wellness Committee shall meet at least quarterly.
5. When an issue has been submitted to the Millard Health Occupational Health, Safety and Wellness Committee, the parties will discuss the issue to determine if a formal meeting is required.  If either party requests a formal meeting, the meeting will be scheduled within ten (10) working days of the request.
6. There shall be no loss of income for time spent by Employees at meetings and in carrying out the functions of this committee.
7. The Millard Health Occupational Health, Safety and Wellness Committee shall also consider measures necessary to protect the security of each Employee on the Employer’s premises and may make recommendations to the Employer in that regard. Should the recommendations not be implemented or steps taken towards implementation within thirty (30) days from the date the recommendation is made, the Millard Health Occupational Health, Safety and Wellness Committee may request and shall have the right to have the recommendations presented to the Employer. The Employer will reply in writing to the Millard Health Occupational Health, Safety and Wellness Committee within fourteen (14) calendar days of the receipt of the recommendation.
