LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING #4

BETWEEN

PRAIRIE EMERGENCY MEDICAL SYSTEMS INC.
(MEDAVIE HEALTH SERVICES WEST, 
NE Alberta Division)
(hereinafter referred to as “the Employer”)

AND

HEALTH SCIENCES ASSOCIATION OF ALBERTA
(hereinafter referred to as “the Union”)

RE: GROUP RRSP PLAN ADMINISTRATION
 

The Parties agree to form a working group within sixty (60) calendar days of the ratification of the collective agreement for the purposes of exploring moving the administration and control of the current Group RRSP Plan from Sunlife to another entity. The working group shall consist of three (3) members appointed by HSAA and three (3) members from the Employer, such working group time spent shall be during working hours at no loss of pay to the participating employees, when possible. A working group Employee attending on days off shall be paid by the Employer at the Basic Rate of Pay for all hours spent in committee meetings.

If the committee agrees to recommend an alternate retirement savings plan and provider, a plan to move the administration and control of the Group RRSP Plan shall then be presented to those HSAA members participating in such plan for a secret ballot vote. The vote shall be conducted and administered by HSAA under internal policies and guidelines.

If a decision to move the plan administration is agreed to by a majority of the voting HSAA membership, then the Employer agrees to facilitate the movement of the plan to the agreed to administrator.
