Article 49: Contracting Out

1. Where the Employer finds it becomes necessary to transfer, assign, sub-contract, or contract out any work of functions performed by regular employees in the bargaining unit, the Employer shall endeavour to notify the Union two (2) months in advance of such change and will meet with the Union to discuss reasonable measures to protect the interests of affected employees.  This notice period shall be concurrent with notice period outlined in article 23.01.
