Article 33: Payment of Wages

  1. Pay days will be as established by the Employer's payroll policy but in no event will Employees be paid less frequently than twice monthly.
  2. Requests for payment of overtime, on-call, call-back and premium pay for Named Holidays shall be submitted for payment action no later than the first working day following the Sunday of the week in which the work for such payments was performed.
  3. In the case of an Employer overpayment, the Employer shall notify the employee in writing that an overpayment has been made and discuss repayment options.  By mutual agreement between the Employer and the employee, repayment arrangements shall be made.  In the event mutual agreement cannot be reached, the Employer shall recover the overpayment by recovering the overpayment over six (6) pay periods in equal instalment amounts.
  4. When an error in the payroll system has caused an underpayment or overpayment of wages to one or more Employees, such Employee(s) and the Union shall be notified of such underpayment or overpayment The Employer shall make reasonable efforts to correct the payroll system and retroactively correct the error in as timely a manner as possible. Grievance timelines will be applicable as of the date of correction or when the Employee becomes aware, or could reasonably have become aware, of such correction and does not agree with such correction. Upon request, the Employer shall provide an employee with calculation of the underpayment or overpayment.
