Article 31: Uniforms/Footwear/Lockers

  1. Uniform Allowance
    Where the Employer requires an Employee to wear a specific uniform, the Employer shall furnish and maintain (launder, alter and repair) without charge tothe Employee.  The uniform shall remain the property of the Employer and shall not be worn other than on duty. The nature, colour, and style of uniforms and the requirements of each group of Employees in respect thereto shall be determined by the Employer.
    1. Protective clothing and safety equipment shall be supplied by the Employer as required by the Occupational Health and Safety Act.  
    2. Where the Employer determines that safety footwear, including non-slip or steel-toed, should be provided, the Employer shall reimburse each eligible Employee the cost of such footwear up to once in each calendar year, to a limit of two hundred dollars ($200.00).
  2. Lockers
    Each Employee who is required to change into a uniform shall be provided access to a locker for storage of clothing and personal belongings.
