Article 6: Respect in the Workplace

  1. The Employer, Union and Employees are committed to having a safe and respectful workplace where discrimination, bullying and harassment are not tolerated.
  2. The Parties agree there shall be no discrimination, bullying, harassment, coercion or interference exercised or practiced by either party in respect of an Employee by reason of race, religious beliefs, color, gender, gender identity, gender expression, physical disability, mental disability, age, ancestry, place of origin, marital status, source of income, family status, sexual orientation, of that Employee, nor in respect of an Employee’s membership in the Union or activities of the Union and political affiliation.
  3. Article 6.02 does not apply with respect to a refusal, limitation, specification or preference based on a bona fide occupational requirement.
