Article 29: Uniform and Clothing
- The Employer shall provide uniforms to each Employee as listed below
- four (4) Shirts with crests
- three (3) pair of uniform pants
- one (1) high visibility all season (3-in-1) jacket
- two (2) pairs of crests or epaulette slip-ons
- safety glasses
- One (1) winter-weight toque upon request (shall cover ears)
- One (1) radio belt clip
Casual staff - a minimum of:
(a) two (2) shirts with crests two (2) pairs of uniform pants
(b) two (2) pairs of crests or epaulette slip-ons
(c) safety glasses
(d) One (1) winter-weight toque upon request (shall cover ears)
(e) One (1) radio belt clip
(f) One (1) soft shell high visible jacket
The following will also be provided after a casual Employee has completed 50 shifts:
(g) Additional (1) shirt with crests and one pair of uniform pants
(h) One (1) high visibility all season (3-in-1) jacket
- The purchase of uniform clothing shall be responsibility of the Employer. Initial cresting and hemming is covered by the Employer. Alterations are covered unless they are solely cosmetic. Employees shall obtain preapproval from the Employer.
- Uniform clothing provided to Employees shall remain the property of the Employer.
- Should the uniform be mutilated, destroyed, or damaged in the course of being on-duty or from excess wear, the same shall be replaced or repaired by the Employer after inspection and approval by the Employer.
- Uniform clothing is to be worn only when Employees are on duty.
- The responsibility of maintaining and cleaning uniform clothing is the responsibility of the Employee.
