Article 21: Termination
- Notice of termination shall be as per the Employment Standards Code.
- An Employee who leaves the employment of the Employer shall receive the wages and vacation pay to which they are entitled in the next regular pay period following their termination.
- An Employee shall be considered terminated when:
- they are absent from work for two (2) or more days without good and proper reason and/or without notifying the Employer;
- they do not return from leave of absence or vacation as scheduled; and
- they do not return from layoff as required, or theyhave been on layoff for a period exceeding twelve (12) months without recall, pursuant to Article 22.
- an Employee’s seniority is broken as per Article 13.04.
