(hereinafter referred to as the Union)

RE: PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF PSYCHOLOGICAL WORKPLACE INJURIES

Whereas Employees may be exposed to traumatic events; and 

Whereas the Parties agree that prevention and treatment of psychological injuries is in the best interest of both Parties, 

Therefore, the Parties agree further discussion and exploration of possible strategies for prevention and intervention should occur at the Joint Workplace Health, Safety and Wellness Committee.  This matter will therefore be referred to the JWHSW Committee as a priority standing agenda item.

This Letter of Understanding will expire March 31, 2024, or upon the date of ratification of the next Collective Agreement, whichever is later.
