LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING #1

RE: MODIFIED HOURS OF WORK ON WEEKENDS
The Parties to this Collective Agreement agree that, notwithstanding Article 7 Hours of Work, modified hours of work for Employees working weekends will be as follows:
Start and finish times of regularly scheduled weekend shifts shall fall within the period beginning 11:00 p.m., Friday, and ending 7:00 a.m., Monday. Overtime provisions shall not apply to regularly scheduled hours.
Hours worked between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. shall be considered a “sleep shift” to be paid at the applicable rate in Appendix “A”
An Employee working a “sleep shift” must respond to client needs and safety, per Society policy and procedures.
All other terms of the Collective Agreement remain in force and effect.
