Article 31: Temporary Assignments

  1. Where an Employee is directed to substitute on another job outside the scope of the bargaining unit, the Employee shall receive no less than the starting rate of pay for the out-of-scope position. If the start rate of the out-of-scope position is less than the Employee’s current Basic Rate of Pay the Employee shall receive an increase in pay no less than a normal increment advance on his wage scale. An Employee so assigned shall continue to be covered by the Terms and Conditions of this Collective Agreement.
  2. During periods of Temporary Assignment an Employee so assigned will receive overtime and call-back premiums based on the Temporary Assignment hourly rate.
