Article 13: Shift Differential

  1. A Shift Differential of two dollars and seventy-five cents ($2.75) per hour shall be paid to:
    1. Employees working a shift wherein the majority of the hours of such shift falls within the period seventeen hundred (1700) to zero seven hundred (0700) hours; or
    2. Employees for each regularly scheduled hour worked between seventeen hundred (1700) hours to zero seven hundred (0700) hours provided that greater than two (2) hours are worked between seventeen hundred (1700) and zero seven hundred (0700) hours.
  2. Shift differential shall not be considered part of the Employee’s basic hourly rate of pay.
  3. Shift differential shall be paid in addition to the overtime rate for overtime worked in conjunction with the shift worked in (13.01) above.
  4. Where applicable, Shift Differential and Weekend Premium will both be paid.
