LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING #9
BETWEEN
REXALL/PHARMA PLUS PHARMACIES LTD.

(hereinafter referred to as the Union)
RE: FLOATER POSITIONS
The parties agree the Employer may post for up to two (2) Pharmacists, two (2) Pharmacy Technicians and two (2) Pharmacy Assistants to act as a floater between sites to cover off absences.
Upon posting a vacancy, the Employer shall include the home site for the available vacancy, whether the posting is for a regular position or floater position, and the minimum standard hours for the employee.
Positions in excess of the above number for each classification, shall follow Letter of Understanding # 6 (Mobility).
The Employer agrees, insofar as possible to provide a schedule for the floater position(s) pursuant to article 11 of the Collective Agreement. The parties acknowledge that the nature of the floating position may require that the schedule may be modified with short notice.
The parties agree that the stipulations outlined in clauses 11.02(b) and 11.03 shall not apply.
This Letter of Understanding shall apply over a period of time beginning the date on which the Parties exchange notice of ratification for this Collective Agreement and ending upon expiry of the collective agreement, or upon the date of ratification of the next Collective Agreement, whichever is later.
