Strong showing for HSAA's Day of Unity

On October 2, HSAA members showed up, together, for a Day of Unity, delivering a message that could not be ignored. The message:

  • Our health system will not function without us.
  • Short-staffing and burnout are real.
  • We are stretched to our limit.
  • We need a deal that recognizes our full value.
  • Health-care professionals and Albertans deserve better.

The turnout was incredible as thousands of members gathered across the province in locations in Calgary, Edmonton, Stony Plain, St. Albert, Fort McMurray, Grande Prairie, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat and Red Deer.

You were loud and united. The media, government and public were watching...

Let's keep this momentum going!

We need you to keep sending a clear message to the provincial government: invest in the people who deliver the care Albertans depend on. Here's how you can help us do that:

  1. Contact to your MLA

Personal stories make a difference. We have a form letter ready to get you started.

  2. Share our public awareness ads on social media

Like, share and comment on our social media ads to help our message reach more people.

  3. Use your voice!

Whether on social media or in person - use your voice and talk to everyone you can. Share your thoughts about the issues in health care and how it affects you and patients. Encourage them to sign up for our public supporters list at hsaa.ca/standupforhealthcare.
