WCB-Alberta (Millard Health) Bargaining Update #13: Tentative Agreement Reached

Your Bargaining Committee is pleased to announce that we have reached a tentative agreement with WCB-Alberta Millard Health during our third day of mediation on February 5, 2026.

We are confident that this agreement brings positive improvements for our members, and want to thank all members for your patience and support. your Bargaining Committee unanimously recommends ratification of this tentative agreement.

Tentative Agreement highlights

We were successful in achieving improvements including, but not limited to:

Wage increases

The parties agreed to a four-year agreement that includes general wage increases for all members, with additional market adjustments for Psychologists.

All classifications/steps:

  • Jan 1, 2025 - 3% (retroactive)
  • Jan 1, 2026 - 3% (retroactive)
  • Jan 1, 2027 - 3%
  • Jan 1, 2028 - 3%

Market adjustments:

  • Psychologist (Masters) – 6.1%
  • Psychologist I – 6.1%
  • Psychology Clinical Supervisor – 6.1%
  • Psychology Consultant – 6.1%

Other improvements:

  • Preceptor Pay increased to $2.00 per hour
  • New Workload Appeal Process
  • New Domestic Violence Leave - 5 paid days
  • New Pregnancy Loss Leave - 5 paid days
  • New language for Provisional Psychologist
  • Improvement to Steward language
  • Improvement to Occupational Health, Safety, and Wellness language
  • Improvement to Job Profiles, New Classifications, Classifications Review language
  • Improvement to bereavement leave language
  • Improvement to Union Business leave 

Details on language improvements will be shared early next week.

What happens next

  • A draft tentative agreement is being prepared for member review.
  • Town halls will be scheduled to answer member questions.
  • A tentative agreement vote will be held.
