Your bargaining committee met the employer for five very full days June 9-13, 2025.
We have reached a Tentative Agreement (TA) that we believe achieves our goal of negotiating a new collective agreement that meets your needs and interests.
If you have already received the Employer’s recent communication that was sent rather pre-emptively, you may already be aware that there are many positive gains we were able to achieve when viewing all amendments and changes as a total package.
Through respectful but frank dialogue we were able to achieve a number of changes that we believe will be beneficial for both parties, including items we were not able to obtain in past rounds of negotiations.
We ask that everyone join us as we will be hosting a virtual Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, June 26 at 7:30 p.m. where we will explain the details of the TA and give you an opportunity to ask questions for clarification on this proposed agreement.
We kindly ask that you retain any questions for the Town Hall, as we are confident many of you have similar questions. This will assist us in ensuring everyone is receiving the same information.
We will also explain in detail the voting procedure that will allow each member to determine if this is an agreement that they can support based on all of the current realities we face. We are seeking your support for this TA as we believe it contains a number of very important improvements in the Collective Agreement.
In order to vote, you must be registered as a member. To become a member, complete the HSAA Member Application Form. If you are unsure of your status, please contact the Members' Resource Centre (MRC) at MRC@hsaa.ca or 1-844-280-HSAA (4722).
Thank you for your continued support and patience through this important process. If you have any questions, please reach out to your negotiating Labour Relations Officers, Kurt Moench (KurtM@hsaa.ca) or Lorri Renaud (LorriR@hsaa.ca).
