CBS (Technical) Bargaining Update #3

Your Bargaining Committee met with Canadian Blood Services, Technical (CBS) on December 16, 17 and 18, 2025 in Calgary.

The tone of bargaining with CBS has shifted from our previous negotiations. The discussions were productive and positive, where both parties worked collaboratively to sign off on numerous articles.

We held discussions on the remaining proposals, which included wages and other improvements. These discussions will resume during our next bargaining dates. We are currently looking at dates in February and March 2026. Once we have confirmed the dates, we will notify the membership.

We will be serving notice to negotiate an Essential Services Agreement (ESA) with your employer in case we are unable to obtain a tentative agreement. This does not stop us from negotiating your new collective agreement, but it will enable us to utilize all necessary tools available to represent your interests.
