CBS (Technical) Bargaining Update #1– Monetary and Non-Monetary Proposals Exchanged

Your bargaining committee met with the employer in Calgary on July 9, 10 and 11, 2025. This was our first set of dates for this round of bargaining.

While we have exchanged our proposals on the majority of monetary and non-monetary articles, we have not yet tabled our wage proposal. Typically, monetary articles take longer as a full cost analysis needs to be completed by both parties.

The employer responded to numerous proposals, and we had meaningful conversations at the table. These conversations remained respectful and both parties were fully engaged in the bargaining process. During these discussions, we were able to sign off some monetary and non-monetary Articles and Letters of Understanding.  

We are meeting with the employer next on September 16 to 18, 2025, in Edmonton to continue negotiations and discuss the contract improvements identified in our member survey.
