CapitalCare Bargaining Update #6

Your Bargaining Committee met with the employer on June 25, bringing us to a total of eight bargaining days. Unfortunately, the employer cancelled our previously scheduled June 23 session, which was disappointing and has contributed to the slow pace of talks.

We’ve now signed off on three more non-monetary articles and while our list of outstanding items is shrinking, the remaining issues are more difficult as both sides hold firm positions. Despite this, your committee is encouraged by productive dialogue on several fronts. We’re actively negotiating 12 non-monetary articles and are getting closer to agreement on about half of them. Steady movement on these items shows that while progress isn’t moving as quickly as we’d like, our continued push is yielding results for members.

We are currently waiting on the employer to confirm our next bargaining dates. As always, your committee remains focused on making meaningful improvements for members and representing your priorities at the table.

Thank you for your continued support. If you have any questions or comments, please email Jodie Zaplotinsky at jodiez@hsaa.ca.
