CapitalCare Bargaining Update #12

Your HSAA Bargaining Committee met with the employer on April 27 and 29.

During these bargaining dates, the parties signed off on 12 articles and Letters of Understanding.

A total of 27 articles and Letters of Understanding remain open.

Where discussions stand

Discussions broke down near the end of the second day of bargaining. As a result, the parties agreed to jointly apply for mediation.

The parties remain far apart on most monetary issues, including wages and benefits. Your bargaining committee remains firm in its position that members deserve wages and benefits that keep them on par with their peers. To date, the employer has not moved beyond proposals that do not meet that standard.

What happens next

The parties will apply to Mediation Services for voluntary mediation. Further updates will be shared as more information becomes available.
