We are pleased to share that bargaining has been progressing well. To date, the parties have signed off on many non-monetary articles.
Following the most recent rounds of discussions, the parties have:
- Signed off on changes to 20 articles, including:
- Article 11: Shift Schedules
- Article 16B: Recognition of Previous Experience
- Article 33: Discipline and Dismissal
- Signed off on another 19 articles with minor wording and administrative updates
- Removed three Letters of Understanding, which outline agreements between the parties before they are incorporated into the collective agreement.
Current focus
To date, discussions have focused on non-monetary items. Monetary proposals have not yet been discussed and are expected to be addressed in future bargaining dates.
What happens next
Additional bargaining dates have not yet been scheduled, as we are waiting for the employer to confirm dates for monetary discussions. Once those dates are confirmed, a further update will be shared with members.
