Your HSAA Bargaining Committee met with Associated Ambulance on March 18 and 19.
Bargaining continues to move forward, and agreement has been reached on several items, including:
- Improvements to Article 38: Premiums
- Improvements to Article 39: Taxable Spending Account
- Article 15: Vacation, signed without changes
- A new Letter of Understanding regarding psychological benefits. Letters of Understanding are used to document agreements between the parties before they are incorporated into the collective agreement.
Where discussions stand
The parties are now focused on the remaining key issues. Discussions have become more detailed, particularly on monetary items, as both sides work through the impact of the proposals.
Your bargaining committee continues to advance proposals based on members’ priorities, with a focus on fair compensation and meaningful improvements.
What happens next
Meetings have been scheduled with the employer on April 8, 9, and 10, and again on April 22 and 23. Further updates will be shared as bargaining continues.
