APL ownership transfers from Alberta Health Services to Primary Care Alberta

Today, HSAA became aware that ownership of Alberta Precision Laboratories (APL) will transfer from Alberta Health Services (AHS) to Primary Care Alberta (PCA) effective April 1, 2026.

HSAA can confirm that 6,805 health-care professionals represented by HSAA will be included in this transition.

There are no changes for APL staff for any terms and conditions, collective agreements, or union affiliation.

Notice containing further details was sent to impacted members today.
