It’s time for members to let us know the issues and concerns you want addressed when we negotiate their new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with Alberta Health Services (AHS).
Members working for AHS received their bargaining survey via email on Monday, November 20. Look for an email with the subject line: 2024 HSAA Bargaining Survey for AHS Employees.
The survey is open until NOON on Monday, December 4, 2023, and all members working for AHS can participate.
The bargaining survey is an opportunity for you to have input in the collective bargaining process with your Union. The survey is one of the tools used to determine the mandate of your bargaining committee – the goals and limits within which they will bargain. For example, no job cuts or wage cuts. The mandate also informs the specific proposals they will present to address your concerns and issues in the workplace.
The more people who participate in the survey, the better your bargaining committee can ensure members’ needs and concerns are being addressed.
Where is my survey?
Only registered members, working for AHS, who have provided HSAA with an up-to-date email address will receive the bargaining survey. Be sure that your information is up to date, and that you are not unsubscribed to emails from HSAA.
If you are not yet a registered member, you can do so here. Registering will ensure you get the bargaining survey, updates on the bargaining process and the opportunity to vote on the CBA.
You can also reach out to the Members’ Resource Centre at 1-844-280-HSAA (4722) or mrc@hsaa.ca.
How can I get updates on the collective bargaining process?
Registered members can follow the progress of negotiations on HSAA’s website via the dedicated bargaining updates page on the Member Hub. Updates are also always emailed to members. The information shared in these updates considers the confidential nature of discussions with the employer at the bargaining table.
If you know a member who is working for AHS that is not receiving these emails, encourage them to become a registered member. It’s quick and easy to do and they will get all bargaining updates and an opportunity to vote on their new CBA. They can sign up here.
