Families flock to fun revolution

Revolution Love Live, an annual action-packed, family friendly, all-ages, free community event took place at Calgary’s Olympic Plaza on June 9 in perfect weather.

There was hula hooping with Anna Kittilsen, hip hop with the Magoo Crew and live music and juggling with me, Mitch Cedar, an HSAA member, event creator, producer and frontman for the group the Revolution Sonics. It was a fun-filled afternoon with lots of people, big and small trying out these different activities and wading in the plaza pool, enjoying the sunshine and refreshing fountain sprays.

Special thanks go to Amy Kittilsen who managed the Information table; HSAA’s Social Justice Committee, which provided sponsorship of $750; and to the City of Calgary.

Two more Revolution Love Live events are planned for this summer, in Grande Prairie on July 15 and Edmonton on August 4. For details, click here.
