Health-care union to address UCP privatization threat

Media Advisory

Statements from the United Conservative Party (UCP) show that a Jason Kenney government will undermine Alberta’s health-care system with a radical and dangerous drive towards privatization, says the Health Sciences Association of Alberta (HSAA).

“Health matters to Albertans and the need to know what the prospect of a Jason Kenney government actually means,” says Mike Parker, president of HSAA, which represents 26,000 health-care professionals.

Parker will hold a media conference at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday) to highlight the threat to health care.

TIME: 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 26

LOCATION: HSAA headquarters at 18410 – 100 Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB T5S 0K6
