AB’s health-care professionals need support. Instead the government ignored them
With Alberta’s health-care system in crisis, we need to increase staffing for critical areas — like mental health and addictions, lab workers, diagnostic imaging, and therapists, technicians, and technologists.
Yet instead, the government ignored health-care professionals in the budget they released this week. This budget had nothing for recruitment and retention of lab professionals, respiratory therapists, social workers, pharmacists, addictions counsellors — every other kind of counsellor, therapist and technician Albertans rely on. Frankly, it puts Albertans’ lives at risk.
Please take a few moments right now to speak up in support of health-care professionals in Alberta.
