CASA Mental Health Bargaining Update #3

Your Bargaining Committee met with the employer on August 31 and September 1, 2026, for two productive days of negotiations.

The parties spent much of the two days discussing several significant non-monetary proposals. These discussions helped both sides clarify their positions, work through outstanding issues and explore potential solutions.

As a result, the parties reached agreement and signed off on:

  • Article 14: Hourly Rate of Pay
  • Article 25: Seniority
  • Article 33: Occupational Health Safety and Wellness

This is meaningful progress as your Bargaining Committee continues working to advance the priorities that matter to you.

What happens next

The parties have scheduled additional bargaining dates for October 26, 27 and 28, 2026, and December 1, 2 and 4, 2026. We are optimistic that these upcoming sessions will be productive and will allow the parties to exchange monetary proposals.

The committee remains focused on negotiating a fair and equitable collective agreement that recognizes your contributions and addresses important workplace concerns.

We will keep you informed and provide another update following the next round of negotiations.
